The route plan below is intended merely as a guide and is
conditional on the prevailing weather, sea state and my own
physical condition. The distances are in land miles and
are generally over-estimated as it is impossible to determine
now, exactly what course I will take until the wind and tidal
conditions are known for each leg.
Although I have included ‘rest days’ these are
flexible and there will inevitably be days when I am unable
to paddle at all due to the weather or, the mileage I achieve
will be restricted. Likewise there will be days when
conditions are good such that I may decide to increase my
daily mileage to make up lost ground.
I will keep HM Coastguard regularly updated with my intentions. Likewise
it will be possible for supporters to follow my progress on
the website where my position and route will be plotted on
a chart of the British Isles.
