Sean Morley is a British-born sea kayaker who in 2004 completed the first solo circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland - 4,500 miles in 6 months, the longest journey ever undertaken in British waters. The route included all the inhabited islands of UK and Ireland (excluding the Channel Islands).
The expedition was documented daily on what was then the brand new expeditionkayak.com - a site built specifically for that trip by Dominic Miles at Shout Websites. Daily updates came in by email from Sean as he paddled clockwise from Falmouth.
Sean has since moved to the United States and is based in California, where he has worked as a sea kayak instructor in the San Francisco area for many years, leading trips to the Channel Islands and along the Pacific coast.
Sean is also the editorial author of the chronology of sea kayak expeditions that anchors this website. As he himself notes in the acknowledgements: "This is an attempt to consolidate numerous records and accounts of sea kayak expeditions throughout the history of the sport... If any author or photographer has issue with the use of such material in this way, please contact the website owner."
